More than 500 people have attended events at Swansea Civic Centre, St Thomas Community School and The Environment Centre in Swansea and New Sandfields Centre and St Theodore Parish Hall in Port Talbot since formal consultation began on Thursday 4 July. A further 1700 local people have completed questionnaires with over 400 people registered for the £2 million community share offer.
Having published their statement of community consultation as required under section 47 (6) of the Planning Act 2008, Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay Plc are now inviting comments on the proposed development by 5 August 2013. These will be considered as the planning application is prepared, before its submission in late 2013.
