Robin Bonham of Mumbles Development Trust says:

“Our event last year attracted over 6000 visitors over the two day period. This year is set to be even better with something for everyone as we celebrate all that this wonderful area has to offer. Fresh oysters will be available all weekend with entertainment for all the family. Working in association with Welsh Government and Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay, we are really looking forward to hosting a festival that celebrates our heritage and our future.”

Ioan Jenkins of Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay Plc adds:

“We are delighted to be supporting this fantastic event and working with the organisers to help promote the rich culture and heritage of the mari-time culture in this area particularly as we are so excited about the plans that we have to bring different mari-culture opportunities to Swansea Bay. Some initial concepts include the encouragement of the re-introduction of the native oyster to Swansea Bay and a lobster hatchery with introduction of lobster onto the lagoon wall.”
