Raquel is a qualified Management Accountant and has spent 15 years in financial services. As Head of Product Management for the London Stock Exchange, she was responsible for the Listed and Regulated Markets in London and Milan as well as the Regulatory News Service and Training businesses. Raquel created new equity markets and new securities as well as new indices and was a member of the FTSE UK Index Committee which determined the constituents of the FTSE 100 index. Most recently Raquel was Strategy and PR Director at TheCityUK, promoting financial and related professional services both in the UK and overseas.
Raquel joined Tidal Lagoon Power in April 2013. She is responsible for engaging with potential and existing investors in both Tidal Lagoon Plc and the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon. Raquel is also secretary to the Boards of both Tidal Lagoon Plc and Tidal Lagoon (Swansea Bay) Plc.
Additionally, Raquel is a member of the Advisory Board of Royal Holloway, University of London’s School of Management.
