Eva Bishop
EEP Delivery Director

Eva initiated and now directs a pioneering conservation initiative at TLP: the Ecosystems Enhancement Programme (EEP), which is a programme of work delivering compensatory habitats and net positive ecological outcomes alongside tidal lagoon development. Eva believes strongly in the opportunity for significant, critical conservation work alongside renewables development in the UK. Initially underpinning Severn Estuary lagoon developments, she anticipates the concept will form a blueprint for all future lagoon and energy developments.

Eva has been one of TLP’s Development Directors since the company began, offering experience across functions and different lagoon developments. In 2010 she joined the development company Low Carbon Group, managing the Central South UK solar PV team under the Feed in Tariff scheme, and subsequently became pivotal to Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay’s early development and feasibility work in 2011.  Prior to this, Eva’s career started in the City of London where she worked with global consulting firm Accenture in their Energy and Natural Resources Group. She took a short career break to achieve a rowing gold medal in the women’s quad scull for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, before turning her energy and focus to the environmental field and climate change. Initially this was with J.P. Morgan ClimateCare in the carbon offsets industry, achieving millions of tonnes of carbon savings through renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Driven by the urgency of tackling climate change and the importance of having strong environmental ethics at the heart of business, Eva then joined Mark Shorrock working in UK renewables and has dedicated the past nine years to renewables development.
